For this project, I designed a flyer for the All Seasons Music Festival (March 29, 8–11 PM at White River State Park’s Amphitheater). I played around a lot with layers and hue adjustments to get the colors right and make the background and leaves feel like part of the “all seasons” theme.
I had to rasterize some of the text so I could style it more, and then messed with kerning to get the lineup names spaced evenly. For the festival title, I added a bevel & emboss effect, along with a gradient stroke, so it would stand out more. It was a lot of trial and error with effects and opacity until it felt balanced.
The final poster clearly displays all the details, with a bold headline and the lineup stacked underneath. I think it captures the idea of a sunset that can be either in the middle of December or the middle of July, with hints of spring color and fall leaves.
