For an assignment that was supposed to help us practice with shapes and layout. My idea was to see how much I could create with a myriad of different shapes and functions, so I came out with a movie poster idea created almost entirely out of visuals. I took some inspiration from an unreleased Godzilla poster that was made for Funimation.
More than anything, I would want the shapes to add to the storytelling of the narrative being shown here. The logo was made entirely in Photoshop, layered over the world map to emphasize his dominance, the statue platforms were made with shapes and layered with stone textures, and the star behind him represents his ego and harsh self-centeredness.
One of my favorite works I have done so far.
