I took a stormy ocean stock photo and dropped in a bright yellow rubber duck with a pirate flag to make it feel like a little toy adventure. To make it look real, I painted in shadows, masked some foam over the duck so it actually looked in the water, and tweaked the colors so it matched the dark, moody background. I finished it off with rain, mist, and a little grain so everything blended together and felt more like one dramatic photo.
